Intra-District Transfer Request Deadline Extended

Due to the statewide school closure, the deadline for INTRA-District Transfer Requests, also known as Out of Zone Transfer Requests, has been extended to May 20, 2020. Parents or guardians of students living within the Coos Bay School District (CBSD), entering K-6th grade, may request that their child attend a school out of their attendance boundary with the procedures and form found at this link. A new intra-district transfer requests must be submitted or reviewed each year. Students who apply for an intradistrict transfer and are not accepted at the time of application because of space availability or Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA) transfers will be placed on a waiting list determined by an equitable lottery process, and the criteria set in the procedures (JECBB-AR). Transfer requests due to daycare location will no longer be an acceptable reason for transfer as the District will review transportation requests to daycare throughout the district. School attendance boundary maps can be found at this link. Please note, non-resident students or students living outside of the CBSD, who have been approved on an INTER-district transfer (IDT) do not need to resubmit a new IDT request unless you have left the CBSD and want to return. If you have questions, please contact your school and leave a message.
