Millicoma Intermediate School

    Home of the Mustangs!

Where we are building strong minds, strong hearts, and a strong learning community every day! Millicoma serves all 5th and 6th grade students in the Coos Bay Public Schools. We are committed to creating a safe, caring, collaborative learning community where student achievement is first and foremost. Classrooms are self-contained, giving us the delightful atmosphere of an elementary school. While striving to maintain the innocence of our 10, 11 and 12 year old children, we work very hard at helping those same children develop the skills they need in order to make a smooth transition into the middle school. Helping our students become safe, respectful, responsible citizens is a daily occurrence at Millicoma Intermediate. Our partnership with parents and the community is vital in meeting these needs. We have an active Booster Club and we invite all parents and community members to participate in our programs.

Millicoma Garden and Orchard Club

singing and gardening 071The Millicoma Garden and Orchard Club is a interdisciplinary school sponsored program designed to teach children the values, science, aesthetics, and fun of growing their own food. There are several raised beds, a large school greenhouse, and a dozen varieties of apple trees in the orchard. Currently we are preparing for our annual Plant Sale, to be held at Pony Village Mall on the 29th of May from 10 a.m.  to 3 p.m. Proceeds go to the Millicoma Garden and Orchard Club to help with supplies, amendments, seeds, and summer maintenance.
