What’s Best for Students
On Saturday, January 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. the Coos Bay School Facilities Committee, in conjunction with the District, will hold a workshop focused on grade configurations.
While safety, roofs and heating are among the critical components of our schools, “What’s Best for Students” will largely address Coos Bay Public Schools’ grade configurations. Community members and District staff will have the opportunity to share their opinions on how Coos Bay grade configurations can support student achievement.
We will look at other models across the state and nation and work in small-group settings. Our goal for the day is to develop tangible solutions the District can further explore and then apply to our school buildings. Please let us know if you would like to be involved so we can include everyone in this critical discussion about the future of our children and community.
A complimentary lunch will be provided. Please RSVP to Peggy Ahlgrim at (541)267-1310 or email@example.com if you plan on attending.
