Principal's Message

Millicoma Families,

We had an outstanding month of October at Millicoma!

Improving student attendance is a goal for the 2023-2024 school year and we are off to a solid start. Our daily attendance average compared to last year is up nearly 2% (91.5%). Our goal for this year is for 75% of our students to be "regular attenders". A regular attendee is considered one who misses less than 18 days over an entire school year. Before COVID Millicoma's regular attendance percentage was in the mid-80s. We have steadily increased our percentage from 51% in the 2021-22 school year to 66% last school year. Please continue to make attendance a priority in your family.  I have attached our family guide on when to stay home as a resource.

We had several events for students and families and now begin to focus on November and some important events and calendar items.

Important events for November include.

11/8               Picture Retakes and Veteran's Assembly
11/9               No School: Grade Day
11/10             No School: Veterans Day
11/13             Book Fair Begins
