Dear Parents and Guardians,
Late last night Governor Kate Brown released a statement to address the spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus in the State of Oregon. She shared that her goal was to slow down the transmission of the disease and preserve hospital’s capacity to effectively respond to potential and/or confirmed cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.
While there are no confirmed cases in our area the new guidance from Governor Brown and Oregon Department of Education is that all Schools will be closed from March 16-31. I will be in communication with the Governor’s office this morning and have more detailed information to share after that. I want to reassure you that this is a proactive move to slow the potential spread of the virus. I know this news will generate questions and we will be releasing further information that will hopefully answer many of those questions after we hear more from the Governor’s office this morning. Our staff will be working hard to make this day a good day for our students. Please check our website and Facebook page for updates later today.
